Announcements @ 6:50am, Picture @ 6:58am, Run @ 7:00am
It is Spring Forward with the clocks this week so we will run this 10/20 miler on Saturday and let everyone sleep in on Sunday to recover that hour of lost sleep.
Thanks to everyone who ran and/or volunteers in last week's Beacon Run. Your support will help continue these free training runs.
Don't forget to check out your RESULTS & download your FREE PHOTOS.
Landrunners' OKC Memorial Marathon training. As always, our training is FREE and we welcome new and veteran runners and walkers alike. Invite your friends!

Thanks to Bar K for hosting us on Saturdays, providing a warm place to gather before and after our run. We'll be there again this week so please show your support for them as they continue to support us. Redbud Animal Dermatology will be sponsoring a free coffee and hot chocolate bar so be sure to come to the back room past the bar to enjoy a cup and visit with your fellow runners.
Location: Bar K, 901 SE 5th St Oklahoma City, OK 73129 -
Their doors will be open around 6:30am to use their restrooms, warmup drills and hang out before the start. Their bar / restaurant will be open for drinks and food orders after your run. Bar K has offered a couple of options to streamline breakfast service for both us and their staff so please read the following regarding options.
Bar K has created a link for runners to place limited food orders in advance with all payments handled through the bar after the run. You are still able to order from their full brunch menu if you would prefer a wider selection. This provides flexibility for those who wish to linger and enjoy a full meal or grab a quick bite before heading out. This form will need to be completed by noon Friday each week.
In addition, Bar K is going to start scheduling a Dogtender at so you can bring your dogs to enjoy Bar K while you are out running. Runners will need to pay for a day pass if they are not Bar K Members. You will need to fill out the attached form by noon Friday so they can schedule the necessary staff to watch your dog(s).

Course: The course will have many elements of the actual Marathon course but we will be avoiding Lincoln Blvd & Classen due to Saturday traffic. We will head west on the River Trails under the crosstown and into Bricktown, up the Walnut Bridge to 4th street, turning left onto 4th street to Robinson to head north. 10 milers will turn around at NW 35th & Walker (2nd water stop) Those running 20 will continue the marathon course to the Nichols Hills Elementary School. Both routes will follow the same course back, however instead of turning at NE 4th and Walnut continue on NE 4th to Russell Perry/Joe Carter and head south to the Bass Pro to the river trail. Walnut Bridge is a little steep to run down with tired legs. This will not be a closed course so we must obey all traffic signs, use the cross walks and sidewalks when available.

Wave Start - We anticipate utilizing a wave start to spread out the group so please line up according to your expected pace and wait until your pace is called to begin running.
Water Stops - OKC Memorial (2.5M, 7.5MH, 17.5M), NW 35th & Walker (5M, 15M), Chesapeake (7.5M, 12.5M), Nichols Hills Elementary (10M), Bar K (S/F). Remember we are cup less so bring a bottle or hydra-pouch to refill. You can buy a hydra-pouch before the run.
Running Etiquette - Remember that we are sharing the road and the trails with others. We want them to be courteous to us, so we, in turn need to be courteous and respectful and not "hog" the road or the trails. Obey all traffic signs, use the cross walks and sidewalks when available. Before our first training run we ask that everyone refresh yourself on Running Etiquette summarized in this attachment. Running Etiquette
Email List - If you know someone that wants to be added to our training email list, have them go to www.okcrunning.org/trainingsignup and enter their information to be added.
As always training is FREE and open to all walkers and runners. You do not need to be a member to attend but we can always use the support, membership is only $20 per year.
