Come Train with The Landrunners!
Don’t forget to check out our Marathon and Half Marathon Training Plans.
If you’re a walker, new to running, or looking for help getting started, this is the perfect group to join. We’ll help you build toward your goal — whether that’s the 5K, Relay, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon.
We’re looking forward to another great training season.
Our training program is a free, open service for anyone training for the OKC Memorial Marathon, a fall marathon, or simply wanting to be more active.
Joining the OKC Running Club is encouraged but not required. Membership applications will be available at training. Annual membership: $30
Routes include out‑and‑back and loop options, so you can adjust mileage to fit your training plan.
Courses use public streets and paved trails
Trails: run on the right
Streets: run on the left, against traffic
Obey all traffic signs
Run at your own risk
We provide water and sports drink at the start/finish and approximately every 3 miles along the routes.
Water Stop Closing: Stops close based on a 15‑minute‑per‑mile pace. If you need more time, please start earlier or carry your own hydration.
A long‑standing tradition of our training group is bringing post‑run treats to share. You’re welcome to participate — homemade bread, brownies, bagels, fruit, pretzels, and similar items are always appreciated. If just a few people bring something each week, there’s plenty to go around. Pick a week and treat your fellow runners!
Dear Landrunners,
I would like to thank you for allowing me to join you on this past Sunday’s (2/20/2011) 16 mile training run. Traveling and visiting other cities has it ups and down but the highlight of my trip to OKC was finding your training group after searching the web for a place to run. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and it was an incredible experience. In my entire running career over 30yrs, I do not think I have ever seen such a well laid out and planned training group. Please pass on my thank you to those who worked hard to set out the water stations, marked & road the course, and helped with traffic.
What great ambassadors to the city and sport of running you all are. You should be very proud and I wish each of you continued success in your running and racing.
Sincerely,
Randy W.
