Landrunner Training Run Guidelines - COVID-19

Since the safety and health of our participants is always our primary concern, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, the following sets forth our expectations of participants during group runs. These are subject to change based on the latest CDC and state and local health guidance.

Do not participate in a training run…

  • If you do not feel well or have had COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 until your physician has released you.
  • If you have been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19 and are in the 14-day quarantine period.
  • If you have tested for COVID-19, but have not yet received results.
  • If, for any reason, you feel at risk for COVID-19.

Safety Precautions

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after your run and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • While you run, avoid running in large packs.
  • Avoid physical contact (no high-fives , hand shakes, hugs).
  • Do not spit or blow “nose rockets” in public. If you absolutely must, do so away from the trail and people.
  • Cough and sneeze into a hanky or your shirt.
  • Bring your own hydration container.
  • If not vaccinated consider wearing a mask.

*If you test positive for COVID-19 and have attended a group run within 14 days, please notify the Landrunners Training Committee. We will maintain your confidentiality, but need to be aware if others in the group may have been exposed.

The Landrunners cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during a group training run and will not be responsible for any potential exposure. By attending a Landrunner training run, you acknowledge and agree that you assume the inherent risks associated with attendance.
