Race Series Criteria and Application (effective for 2022)
Required-
- Race must be a sanctioned USATF event & use a USATF Certified course
- Use an experienced timing company and provide results in an electronic format
- Preliminary results posted promptly
- Course must be clearly marked or marshaled
- Water stops with sufficient supplies and volunteers
- Restroom facilities provided
- Advertise your race in the monthly OKC Landrunners newsletter and/or website listing (rates start at $35)
Recommended-
- Landrunners logo included on t-shirt
- Use online registration and offer a running club discount for early registration
- Lead vehicle/bike with a thorough knowledge of the course
- A protected area for pre and post race activities in bad weather
- Food and drink at post race activities
- awards for five year age groups beginning as follows:
5k races 10 & under
8k races 12 & under
10k races 15 & under
- Overall male and female awards
- Runners like unique or practical awards more than generic medals
The application below must be submitted at least 60 days (exception for January 2022) before the start of each quarter. The committee will then screen and present a list of recommended races to the Oklahoma City Running Club board of directors for approval.

2nd April-June February 1st
3rd July- September May 1st
4th October-December August 1st
