Thanks to Bar K for hosting us last Saturday, providing a warm place to gather before and after our run. We'll be back there again this week so please show your support for them as they continue to support us.
Location: Bar K, 901 SE 5th St Oklahoma City, OK 73129 -
Their doors will be open around 7:00am to use their restrooms, warmup drills and hang out before the start. Their bar / restaurant will be open for coffee, drinks and food orders after your run. Bar K has offered a couple of options to streamline breakfast service for both us and their staff so please read the following regarding options.
Bar K has created a link for runners to place limited food orders in advance. You can choose from purchasing the breakfast buffet or a grab-and-go breakfast burrito, with all payments handled through the bar after the run. You are still able to order from their full brunch menu if you would prefer a wider selection. This provides flexibility for those who wish to linger and enjoy a full meal or grab a quick bite before heading out. This form will need to be completed by Thursday evening each week.
In addition, Bar K is going to start scheduling a Dogtender at 7 am so you can bring your dogs to enjoy Bar K while you are out running. Runners will need to pay for a day pass if they are not Bar K Members. You will need to fill out the attached form by Thursday evening so they can schedule the necessary staff to watch your dog(s).

Course: We will head west on the River Trails towards Scissortail. 7 milers will turn around at the NE corner of the Myriad Gardens. Those running 14 will continue up Robinson and joining the Memorial Marathon Course at NW 23rd continuing to NW 38 & Shartel retracing your route back to Bar K. Bathrooms should be open at Scissortail (7am) and at the Memorial (9am). This will not be a closed course so we must obey all traffic signs, use the cross walks and sidewalks when available.

Wave Start - We anticipate utilizing a wave start to spread out the group so please line up according to your expected pace and wait until your pace is called to begin running.
Water Stops - 1 @ Scissortail Feather (3/11 miles), NW 30th & Harvey Pwky (6/8 miles) and 1) @ Bar K (S/F). Remember we are cup less so bring a bottle or hydra-pouch to refill. You can buy a hydra-pouch before the run.
Running Etiquette - Remember that we are sharing the road and the trails with others. We want them to be courteous to us, so we, in turn need to be courteous and respectful and not "hog" the road or the trails. Obey all traffic signs, use the cross walks and sidewalks when available. As always training is FREE and open to all walkers and runners. You do not need to be a member to attend but we can always use the support, membership is only $20 per year.
